After four years of sampling and research, results are now beginning to be published as a result of all the foundation data collected from microinvertebrate sampling. Additional input takes place through shocking efforts by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. That doesn't mean that our work has ended. It has only really just begun. This is an effort that has never been undertaken in the history of the Chattahoochee River Tailwater. The data that has already been collected is impressive and has been of great value to assess both the water quality of the river and the health of the coldwater fishery which it supports.

Please be generous if possible. Also, consider volunteering at one of our quarterly sampling sessions. Rolling up your sleeves and learning what is really in the river can be a rewarding experience.
